A Passion for Life Resources

You’ve probably heard about, “A Passion for Life.” In their own words from their homepage:

A Passion for Life is a nationwide initiative that is drawing together local evangelical churches to plan a fantastic variety of missional initiatives culminating in Easter 2010. Our passion is to see numerous people of all ages and backgrounds in our country reborn to glorify God.

What I want to flag up is some of their video resources on vimeo. There’s (at the time of writing) about 15 apologetics style videos answering such questions as, “How can Christians be so sure what they believe is true?” and “Isn’t Christianity just a psychological crutch?”

Here’s one from the big Don himself, answering the important question, “How can God alow evil and suffering in the world?”

The great thing about Vimeo is you can legitimately download a decent quality version of all the videos to use in any events you might hold. I seriously recommend checking the rest out.


Remember, remember Isaiah 6!

1. The Holiness of God

2. The sinfulness of man

When we forget or play down either of these concepts, the cross loses its wonder and glory.

I never thought I’d see the day,  but it is here. I want to recommend a Christian TV station. Clayton TV is an internet based channel that is free to watch and has a wealth of good content.

Piper for free

One of the things I love about the internet is the way that people give away their content for free.

Mars Hill and the Resurgence have been leading the way in this in terms of quantity, but the best in terms of quality must been John Piper. Piper gives away everything… everything! Even his books! You can download them as PDF and print them off to read. Brilliant.
